Even if i knew the speed, it's only by testing that you feel the immense difference with writing speeds to your internal hd, which reduces ways to use it in every day use. Still great to have as extra back up space when needed!

Read / Write speed is fast enough for me to have all my Nextcloud files here, haven't noticed any issues with it so far.

It's a bit fiddly to get the card out, but that's half of its beauty, no fear of it popping out or being removed.

I would recommend it.

This is a great device. Fits the MacBook 2020 M1 perfectly.
Pity there isn't a 512 or 1TB as its a super easy way to upgrade your macbook storage.
Can run Paralleles VMs from this also with no degradation in speed
